→ Participation of restaurants in the Award does not involve financial contributions.
→ For the consideration of the jury members, the experts of the Award are offered restaurants from all regions of Ukraine.
→ Information about the experts of the Award is presented on the website in the section Experts.
→ Independent applications of restaurants for participation in the Award are accepted in the period from February 17 to June 1, 2020.
→ The number of nominees is not limited.
→ The restaurant can be nominated only in one of the 17 nominations, choosing the most appropriate criteria for the Award.
→ Restaurant belonging to a chain can take part in the Award if each of them has an individually developed concept that differs from other restaurants of a chain (name, logo, menu).
→ If a restaurant chain has a single shared concept it can be represented only by one restaurant.
→ Jury members’ restaurants do not participate in the Award.
→ The winners of the previous year Award (2019) do not participate in the current year (2020).
→ Submission of an application for participation in the Award implies permission to use the provided information for processing and formation of the list of self-nominees.
→ The restaurant can participate in the finals of the Award in only one nomination.
→ The restaurant can not participate in the final of the Award only in case of official closure and termination of activity.
→ Each restaurant from the list of finalists is visited by four members of the Jury Board.
The nomination Opening of the Year is evaluated according to the criteria: “Product”, “Service” and “Atmosphere”.
Nominations for Best Bar and Best Coffee House by criteria: “Service”, “Atmosphere” and “Specialization”.
Nominations Best Restaurant at the Hotel and Best Wine Bar by criteria: “Kitchen”, “Service” and “Atmosphere”.
All other nominations are evaluated according to the criteria: “Kitchen”, “Service”, “Atmosphere” and “Specialization”.
→ The finalists of the Award will be published on the website after the voting of the Jury Board.
→ Jury members evaluate the restaurants by visiting them in the period from July 8 to October 15, 2020.
→ The Award is audited by an independent auditor of the award – Grant Thornton Ukraine.
→ The winners of the Award will be announced at the ceremony of awarding the National Restaurant Award SALT® on November 29, 2020 in the CEC “Parkovy”, Kyiv.
→ The winners of the Award receive a copper frying pan SALT® during the announcement of the results of the Award on November 29, 2020 in the Parkovy Exhibition Center, Kyiv.
→ The finalists of the Award receive special awards, which are presented by the Organizer of the Award after the ceremony.
