Conditions of participation 2019

  1. Participation of restaurants in the Award does not require financial contributions.
  2. Independent restaurants’ applications for participation in the Award are admitted from 27 February to 28 April 2019.
  3. The number of nominees is unlimited.
  4. A restaurant can be nominated only in one of 18 nominations. A restaurant should choose the one, where it best meets the criteria of the Award.
  5. Restaurant belonging to a chain can participate in the Award only if each of them has an individually developed concept that distinguishes them from other restaurants of the same chain (name, logo, and menu).
  6. If a restaurant chain has a single shared concept, it can be represented only by one individual restaurant.
  7. The restaurants belonging to the Jury members do not participate in the Award.
  8. The Winners of the Award of the previous year (2018) do not participate in current year’s competition (2019).
  9. Applying for participation in the Award implies giving permission to use the provided information for processing and compiling a list of the Award’s self-applicants.
  10. Information on Experts of the Award can be found on the website in the “Experts”
  11. At least 7 restaurants-finalists from the category of the Experts’ lists, as well as no more than 2 restaurants-finalists from the category of self-nominated restaurants are entitled to the status of an Award
  12. A restaurant may participate in the Final of the Award only in one nomination.
  13. Information on the Finalists of the Award will be presented on the Award website in the “Finalists”
  14. A restaurant cannot participate in the Final of the Award only in case of official closure and termination of activities.
  15. Each restaurant from the Finalists’ list is visited by five members of the Jury board who evaluate it according to the following categories: “Kitchen”, “Service”, “Atmosphere” and “Specialization”.
  16. The Jury board evaluates restaurants after visiting them in the period from June 11 to October 31, 2019.
  17. Awards Audit is conducted by an independent Awards Auditor – RSM Ukraine.
  18. Winners of the Award will be named at the Gala Awards Ceremony of National SALT® Restaurant Awards on December 1, 2019 in the CEC “Parkovy”, Kyiv.
  19. Winners of the Award receive the SALT® copper frying pan during the announcement of the results of the Award on December 1, 2019 in the CEC “Parkovy”, Kyiv.
  20. Finalists of the Award receive special awards presented by the Organizer of the Award after the ceremony.
